Around the same time I did my first proper live stream the iMac review/why I didn't wait for Silicon started to get ~80 views/hour (up from maybe 5/hour average for the previous 48 hours).
Considering it's been out for 5/6 days this came out of nowhere. I wonder if the live stream feeds into the metrics to decide whether to promote a video. What I can deduce that is different for this video vs others on the channel
- ~50% watch all the way through
- Many comments vs normal
- No dislikes at current time + ~6% like rate
- Above average (just) watch time
Of course it's most likely not just the video - there are presumably lots of people searching for Apple Silicon and this is a video doing well that makes sense to show
